The first prototype of the STAGE platform is being tested by older users. The pilot trials are the crucial part, the moment in which the co-design principles underpinning the project are finally being applied by directly involving older people in the design and development of the STAGE platform.

STAGE at the AAL2Business Workshop

On 11th May 2017 representatives of the STAGE consortium took part in the workshop organised under AAL2Business - business support action for AAL projects and companies within AAL projects. The workshop was entitled "How to build viable business models in AAL projects" and encompassed a variety of topics, from basic information on business models to workshops on creating business models for particular companies.

STAGE was one of two case projects for the workshop. The idea and objectives of STAGE had been presented to all participants who were then divided into two groups one of which tried to develop a primary business model for STAGE using the Business Model Canvas method.

It was a valuable experience for the STAGE consortium members which was represented by as many as three persons, including the project coordinator. Development of STAGE draft business model is in progress and it will be then consulted with experts during a couple of workshops. Finally, a final business model for the STAGE ICT platform will be developed that will allow clear commercialization of the service.

Project meeting in Warsaw

On 4th and 5th May the General Assembly took place in Warsaw, Poland, where STAGE partners discussed the project progress, summed up activities and results that have been achieved so far as well as addressed main challanges and established a future action plan.

Also, partners representing countries, whose languages will be available on the STAGE cultural platform from the start, i.e. Cyprus, Hungary and Italy, reported on their contacts with cultural institutions eager to cooperate with the STAGE consortium. These contacts are promising and developing. Naturally, one should not forget that the STAGE platform will be also available in English. Importantly, a prototype of the STAGE platform was presented by SIVECO and the approaching pilot trials were discussed. Moreover, during an internal workshop partnes discussed possible STAGE business models and further works related to this matter.

The meeting was hosted by ASM - Market Reseach and Analysis Centre LTD.

STAGE poster presented at the AAL Forum

The STAGE Coordinator –– the National Research Council’s Institute for Construction Technolo-
gies –– presented the STAGE project during a poster session at the AAL Forum, which took place on 26-28 September 2016 in St. Gallen, Switzerland. The poster session was a dedicated part
of the AAL Forum, where projects associated with AAL Programme were presented to the broa-
der audience. In addition to that, the STAGE was presented through a visualization that was de-
livered thanks to the work of the project partners: SIVECO, CEDEO and Georama.

The participation at the AAL Forum was a valuable experience. Apart from a chance to popular-
ise our project, we could deepen our knowledge on the subject, as well as get some feedback from the experts who were very interested in the STAGE project. That motivates us to increased work for the successful implementation of the STAGE platform.
